Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common medical condition characterized by the involuntary leakage of urine during activities that put pressure on the bladder and pelvic floor muscles. These activities can include coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects, or any other movement that increases abdominal pressure.
SUI occurs due to weakened or damaged pelvic floor muscles and the urethral sphincter, which are responsible for keeping the bladder closed and preventing urine leakage.
